In the case of direct or indirect links (“hyperlinks”) to third-party websites that are beyond the author’s control, the author shall be liable only if the author is aware of the contents of said links and if it is both technically feasible and reasonable for the author to prevent the use of content that is illegal. The author hereby expressly states that no illegal content was perceivable on linked websites at the time when the links were activated. The author has no influence whatsoever on the current and/or future design, content or authorship of linked/referenced websites. For this reason, the author distances itself explicitly from all content that is changed on any or all linked/referenced pages after the links are activated. This principle applies for all links and references on the author’s own web presence and for third-party entries in guestbooks, discussion forums, lists of links, mailing lists and all other forms of database set up by the author but where external write access exists to the content. For illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and, in particular, for losses arising from the use or non-use of such information, liability remains solely with the provider of the website to which a link was set, not with the entity whose links merely reference said publications.
